Historic Tree Causing Concern in Athens

ATHENS, Ala. (WHNT) – The city of Athens is in danger of losing a landmark. It’s a tree at the Limestone County Courthouse that’s been there for about as long as anyone can remember.

The tree appears to be dying. The entire southeast corner of the courthouse property has been blocked off because limbs have fallen from the tree.
