High Speed Chase Through Hartselle Ends in Priceville
A high speed chase that began in Hartselle Thursday night ended in Priceville with the suspects crashing their car. The chase began just before 10 p.m. Thursday when a Hartselle police officer tried to pull the vehicle over.
The car then took off heading toward I-65. The chase headed north reaching speeds up to 100 mph.
The suspect left the interstate in Priceville and failed to stop at the end of the exit ramp. The car hit a ditch, went airborne and crossed Highway 67 before coming to a stop.
Hartselle Police believe the passenger tossed something out of the car as the chase turned north onto the interstate, but so far they have not recovered anything.
The driver, 19-year-old Caitlyn Allen of Huntsville faces multiple charges. The passenger in the car was not charged, and was released.
