Huntsville Mayor Proposes Bare Bones Budget

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The City of Huntsville is tightening the purse strings for fiscal year 2013.  Thursday night, council members got heated as they hashed out the details of Mayor Tommy Battle’s proposed budget.

The nearly $236-million budget aims to keep city agencies and non-profits at last year’s funding levels.  Council members are asking for more.
