Lawrence County Teen Charged With Sending Threatening Texts

MOULTON, Ala. (WHNT) – A Lawrence County teen is in trouble for allegedly sending threatening text messages to his girlfriend.

Mason Stillwell, 18, was arrested on Wednesday at his home.  He is charged with making terrorist threats.

The girl is at student at Lawrence County High School, and received the text messages there.  The school was placed on lockdown Wednesday morning for about three hours.

Sheriff’s deputies say Stillwell does not go to the school.

The lockdown was lifted before 1 p.m.
