Auburn Continues LSU Preps
Auburn, Ala. - The Auburn Tigers held a two-hour practice Wednesday evening at the Auburn Athletics Complex Practice Fields, continuing preparation in the cooling temperatures for Saturday’s game with SEC West rival LSU, in a matchup of the last two SEC champions.
“I thought we had a really good practice tonight. I feel like this week’s been very good,” said Auburn head coach Gene Chizik. “I think the kids have been very focused and are really excited about playing in the game. The energy has been there. They understand the challenge ahead of us and it ought to be fun Saturday night.”
While LSU leads the all-time series with Auburn by a 25-20-1 count, Auburn has been the winner in 10 of the 16 contests played at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Saturday’s SEC home opener at Jordan-Hare Stadium against LSU is a 6 p.m. CT kickoff.
