Woman Rescued After Jumping Off Whitesburg Bridge

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Law enforcement officers are investigating a situation at the Whitesburg Bridge on South Memorial Parkway.

They raced there shortly after 7 a.m. Friday.  The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said a woman parked her vehicle on the bridge and then jumped in the Tennessee River.

The water rescue squad responded and got her out of the water quickly.  She was taken to Huntsville Hospital and should be okay.

The Lacey’s Spring Volunteer Department also responded.  The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating further.
