Police: Man Spotted Taking Pictures Of Children In Boaz

BOAZ, Ala. (WHNT) – Police are asking people to call with any information they have about a man spotted taking pictures of children near the Old Elementary School this week.
Boaz Police say the man also took items out of a child’s backpack.
Police got a report about a white male, possibly in his 60s, approximately 6′ tall and weighing 175 to 185 pounds. He had white hair and a white beard and mustache and was wearing a white shirt, black pants, black shoes and a black tie.
Police say the man was driving what has been described as an off-white four door vehicle similar to a Mercedes S Class.

The man was at the Old Elementary School on Sparks Avenue in Boaz on Wednesday around 5:00 p.m. He took pictures of four young people aged 12 and under, and took an iPod and other items out of a 12-year-old’s backpack.
The man left and headed toward Highway 431 on Sparks Avenue.
