Judge Declares Mistrial For Maurice Hill
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Thursday afternoon, the judge declared a mistrial in Maurice Hill’s attempted murder trial.
Hill was on trial for a 2008 workplace shooting. He was accused of shooting his cousin, R.J. Robinson, at AdTran.
Robinson had a minor wound to the shoulder. No other AdTran employees were hurt.
The trial started Monday, and the jury began deliberations Wednesday morning. They started again Thursday morning and continued until around 3:45 p.m. Thursday.
After declaring a mistrial, the judge released the jury from service.
“We had missing information, and could not come to a decision as a group,” one juror told WHNT News 19 out of the courtroom.
