Player Profile: Monterio Burchfield

Monterio Burchfield caught six passes for 186 yards and a touchdown last Friday in a win over North Jackson. Those stats are impressive by themselves, but add to it a stellar game on defense and that’s one of the best performances of the year.

Burchfield intercepted a pass on the goal line right before half, keeping momentum on his team’s side. All these great plays added up to Madison County’s first ever win over North Jackson, but that almost never happened.
