Nashville, Tenn. (WHNT) – Even in the pros, Alabama still seems to be successful.

One of the bigger game-changers happened during the first half, when former Crimson Tide linebacker Dont’a Hightower scooped up a Jake Locker fumble and returned it six yards for a New England touchdown.  It helped the Patriots win their ninth-straight season-opener, 34-13 over the Tennessee Titans.

There wasn’t much magic after the contest, but before, the franchise honored former Lady Vols head coach Pat Summitt by making her the 12th Titan.  Owner Bud Adams also donated $25,000 to her foundation that raises awareness of Alzheimer’s Disease.
