Football Friday Player Profile: Chris Sparkman

Around Campus, Chris Sparkman is more than just a football player. He’s part of his youth group at church, does work with Austin ambassadors and has a busy social life. But the one thing everyone knows about Sparkman is he smiles, alot.

“I’ve always been that way,” Sparkman says. “Ever since I was young..”

Sparkman even smiles when playing serious and intense football games. He’s such a charismatic leader on the team that his smile is rubbing off on some of the teammates.

Austin Head Coach Jeremy Perkins says his attitude is perfect some someone playing quarterback.

“When you have guys who are in positions to lead and they’re acting like good leaders, it’s infectious,” said Perkins. “We love having Chris as our quarterback.”
