Stars RHP Josh Stinson Recalled By Brewers
Huntsville, Ala. -
The Milwaukee Brewers announced today that they have recalled RHP Josh Stinson from Huntsville. He will join the Brewers on Tuesday at Miami.
Stinson had a solid season with the Stars, posting an 11-9 record with a 3.16 ERA (145.1ip/51er) in 29 appearances (24 starts). His ERA was the third-best in the Southern League. He was tied for second-most wins. Stinson was claimed off waivers from the Mets in April and assigned to Huntsville’s roster.
The 24-year-old will be the sixth player from the Stars 2012 roster to join the big league club. Shortstops Jean Segura and Jeff Bianchi, RHP Brandon Kintzler and RHP Jim Henderson are all currently on the Brewers active roster. RHP Tyler Thornburg will join the Brewers on Tuesday with Stinson.
Former Huntsville Stars Wily Peralta and Logan Schafer have also been recalled from Triple-A Nashville.
