Reese Dismukes And Jay Prosch Available For Saturday
Auburn, Ala. - The Auburn Tigers held a two-hour full-contact practice late Tuesday afternoon at the Auburn Athletics Complex Practice Fields, continuing preparations for Saturday’s SEC opener at Mississippi State. That contest has an 11:00 A.M. CT kickoff.
“This is a great conference opener. We’re really looking forward to obviously a very tough game in Starkville against a Mississippi State football team that’s very, very good,” said Auburn head coach Gene Chizik. “They have seven returning starters on defense, with guys with a lot of experience; a very experienced offensive line; a great host of receivers and tailbacks; and very talented guys in the return game. It’s going to be a very physical game in Starkville, and we’re looking forward to a great challenge.”
During Tuesday’s news conference, Gene Chizik said center Reese Dismukes and fullback Jay Prosch will be available to play against Mississippi State. Police arrested Dismukes for public intoxication and Auburn suspended him for one game. Prosch will be attending his mother’s funeral Thursday but should return for the trip to Starkville in time.
