Leonard Indicted In Auburn Shootings

AUBURN, Ala. (WHNT) – The man charged with shooting six people outside of an Auburn apartment complex in June will go to trial for the crime.

A grand jury indicted Desmonte Leonard on August 27.  His case will now proceed to trial.

Leonard is charged with three counts of capital murder after six people were shot outside an apartment complex in early June, about a mile from the Auburn University campus.

Three of the shooting victims died.  Two were former Auburn University football players.
