Normal, Ala. – Alabama A&M’s Vernon Marshall and Reginald Bailey earn all-SWAC honors for their performances in the 7-6 victory over Tuskegee.

Marshall was named the College Sports Madness SWAC Defensive Player of the Week for his eight tackles and his victory-clinching blocked field goal in the final seconds of the game.

The Madness identifies the highest impact players nationally and the top offensive and defensive player from each FCS conference in our weekly feature.

Bailey earns his first accolade as a member of the Bulldog football team for his six tackles and 2.5 tackles-for-loss.  The Picayune, Miss. native also earned defensive line honorable mention by the College Football Performance Awards.

“Well deserved honors for both guys,” said head coach Anthony Jones.  ”Vernon played an exceptional game and Reginald did great for his first game as a Bulldog”.
