Stars Win Penultimate Game Of 2012 Season

Montgomery, Ala. – After dropping the first three straight in a series against the Montgomery Biscuits, the Huntsville Stars cruised to a 8-2 victory on Sunday afternoon at Riverwalk Stadium. On offense, the Stars were led by first baseman Hunter Morris and outfielder Brock Kjeldgaard who hit back-to-back homeruns in the fourth innings. For both Morris and Kjeldgaard, it was their second homer in as many games. Combined, the two were 4-for-8 with six runs batted in on the ballgame. On the pitching sideRHP R.J Seidel improved to 3-2 on the season with the win in relief. Aside from Seidel, starting pitcher Evan Anundsen got a no-decision after giving up a run in four innings of work.

The Stars will wrap up their five-game series with the Biscuits and 2012 season on Monday as they will send RHP Jimmy Nelson (2-4, 3.91 ERA). First pitch is at 7:05 PM.
