Huntsville’s JDRF Walk Is Sunday, September 9
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Many children, teenagers and young adults in our community live with Type 1 diabetes. There’s still no cure – but there’s a strong effort to find one and to provide support for people who live with the disorder.
Huntsville’s 2012 Walk To Cure Diabetes is Sunday, September 9 at Dynetics in Research Park. It’s presented by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, or JDRF.
This year’s theme is “Wrangle Up A Cure.” The goal is to raise more than $160,000 for research and support for people with Type 1 diabetes. To donate to the local walk, click here.
Dynetics is located at 1002 Explorer Boulevard in Research Park. Registration and lunch starts at 1 p.m. and the 3-mile walk starts at 2:30 p.m.
