House Fire In Florence Called “Suspicious”

FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) – Fire inspectors in Florence are looking into a what they call a suspicious house fire.  It started Wednesday just before 8 a.m. in the 100 block of North Crown Street.

Fire investigators says no one was at the home when they arrived.  They found heavy flames and smoke coming from the house.

According to the homeowner, the renter of the property had the power cut off on Tuesday, and was supposed to be moving out.

Investigators haven’t talked with the renter yet.
