FBI: Same Man Suspected In Priceville, Guntersville Bank Robberies
PRICEVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The FBI says a man who robbed Traditions Bank in Priceville on Wednesday appears to be the same man who robbed a bank in Guntersville last week.
A man walked in Peoples Bank on Highway 431 in Guntersville on August 2, just before 3 p.m. He was black, wore glasses, and had a band-aid across his nose. He was in his mid to late 20’s, approximately 5’10” to 6’0 feet tall, and weighed approximately 140 to 150 pounds. The suspect was described as wearing dark pants and a white t-shirt with a blue ball cap, possibly with the Texas Rangers baseball logo. The suspect ran away.
On Wednesday, August 9, a black male with the same physical description walked in Traditions Bank on Highway 67 in Priceville. He had a short beard or what appeared to be a few days beard growth. He wore glasses, a New York Yankees baseball hat, a white t-shirt with a black t-shirt under it, and black work pants. The man gave the teller a note demanding money, and advised that he had a weapon. The suspect ran away from the bank.
There is a reward offered for the man’s arrest. If you have any information about who he is, or where he is, please call local law enforcement or the FBI’s Birmingham office at (205) 326-6166.
The man’s picture will also be posted on digital billboards in Alabama and Tennessee.
This matter is being investigated jointly by the FBI, the Guntersville Police Department and the Priceville Police Department.
