GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) -- The Marshall County Sheriff's Office released the identity of a third person of interest in a fatal stabbing.
Sheriff Scott Walls said investigators are trying to find 38-year-old Sean Ray Blanks.
Marshall County investigators said Thursday they were looking for a person of interest, considered their prime suspect in the death of Billy Wayne Glassco, Jr.
Blanks is 5'5" tall, and is balding with red hair and green eyes.
They found Glassco, a 38-year-old from Horton, dead from stab wounds.
Investigators took the homeowner, Marlon Buford Bearden, into custody that night as a person of interest, along with Billy Ray Moore.
Sheriff Walls said those two men were arrested on charges unrelated to Glassco's death.
The sheriff said deputies began trying to locate Blanks several days before the stabbing incident, for failing to do his quarterly report as a registered sex offender.
He was convicted in 1995 of sexual abuse in DeKalb County, and moved to Marshall County in April of this year.
In early June, Marshall County deputies arrested Blanks for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a concealed weapon without a permit.
Two weeks later, Etowah County deputies arrested him for driving with a suspended license.
Investigators from the Marshall County District Attorney's office, U.S. Marshal Service, and FBI, as well as deputies in Dekalb and Etowah Counties are assisting in the search for Blanks.
