Trial Set For Limestone Co. Man Charged In Grandmother’s Murder
LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – A judge has set a trial date for a man accused of killing his grandmother.
The trial for 33-year-old James Pigg is set to begin December 3rd at 9:00 a.m.
There was an arraignment set for Tuesday, but Pigg’s lawyer entered a not guilty plea on his behalf a couple of days ago.
Pigg is accused of hitting his grandmother, 68-year-old Barbara Delaney, in the head with a hammer and shooting her on March 27th.
He had been living with her, but she was in the process of evicting him.
Pigg’s mother, Diana Harber, who is Delaney’s daughter, said her son denies having anything to do with his grandmother’s death.
