Several Stores Offer Additional Deals During Alabama’s Tax-Free Weekend

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Several local stores want you to shop with them during the state’s upcoming tax-free weekend.  They’re offering additional incentives to get you in the door.

Alabama’s “Back To School” Sales Tax Holiday starts at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 3 and ends at midnight on Sunday, August 5.  You won’t pay state sales tax on certain items, like clothing, books and computers under a certain cost.  Many cities and counties are waiving local sales tax on these items, too.

Some local stores will offer additional savings:

GigaParts
Tax free discount applied to all computers, not just those $750 or less. 
In addition, GigaParts will make a donation of $10.00 to the PTA of the child’s school for every computer purchase over $1,000.

Sam’s Club
Sam’s Club locations will host Open House events this weekend.  Non-members can shop at Sam’s Club without a membership and are not required to pay the customary 10 percent service fee if they make a purchase.
