Firefighters in Madison have been in the new Station Number Two for around two months.  However, the old Station Two is still sitting empty, just two blocks away.

One WHNT News 19 viewer asked: "What is going to happen with the old mold-infested fire station in Madison?"

We asked Amy Bell, the Director of Community Development and Planning for the City of Madison.  She says there are no immediate plans for the building or the property.

Bell says the city is reviewing all the options for the property before making a final determination.  The building and land should come up for discussion at City Council in the next few months.

When the time comes, we'll let you know exactly what the options are, and what the council decides.
