Decatur Police Charge Mother With Child Abuse

A 4-month-old baby was brought to Parkway Hospital in Decatur on Friday evening around 7:00 p.m.

The child had suffered injuried to the head and face.

The hospital notified Decatur Police and the Alabama Department of Human Resources.

The mother of the child, Latonia Renea Stinnett, was arrested by Decatur Police and charged with child abuse.

According to Decatur Police, Stinnett will be transferred to the Morgan County Jail on a $2,500 bond.

Police say the child is expected to make a full recovery.
