Man Turns Himself In After Deadly Shooting

Florence police say a man turned himself in, after shooting and killing a man.

According to police, Raymond Clemons shot Jerry Ivey at the intersection of Conner Street and Central Avenue.

Ivey was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to investigators, after the shooting, Clemons left the area, but then turned himself in at the police department.

“We are looking at the scene and talking to witnesses, there are several witnesses,” said Chief Ron Tyler with the Florence Police Department.

Police responded to the scene just after 9:00 p.m.
