Around 1:45 Monday morning Huntsville Police responded to a car that slammed into a home in the 3700 block of Bob Wallace Avenue.

The homeowner said the wreck shook her out of her bed.  She went outside to check on the accident in time to see three of the passengers, including the driver, get out of the vehicle, run west down Bob Wallace and jump into another vehicle.

But the fleeing passengers left a fourth injured male passenger in the vehicle.  HEMSI paramedics transferred him to Huntsville Hospital in serious condition.

A Huntsville Police officer who was on his way to the accident saw the fleeing trio get into that other vehicle and was able to stop them at the Cabana Apartments on Thurman Road.

There is no word yet if charges will be filed against any of the passengers.

The damage to the home was mainly to the front steps.
