The 105-degree temperature broke a record high in Huntsville on Saturday. However, the heat is still lingering around and we could see another record-breaking forecast today.

Highs across North Alabama and South Tennessee are once again expected to hit the triple digit mark. A few thunderstorms could bring some relief during the afternoon, but the majority, if not all, of the area should remain dry.

According to our news partner, The Huntsville Times, heat-related emergencies in Madison County continue to rise as the mercury level does.

Don Webster, chief operating officer for HEMSI, said ambulances responded to seven heat-related emergencies in Madison County on Saturday.

We seem to be back in the safe zone in Huntsville for water usage. Huntsville Utility crews were able to fix a water pump and managed to lift their water conservation request for the Huntsville community.

However, other areas around Madison County are still being asked to limit their outside watering. Madison County Water Authority is urging its customers to conserve their water usage through the hot weekend.
