Stars And BayBears Combine For 33 Hits, But Mobile Wins 13-8

In a game that featured 21 combined runs and 33 combined hits, the Huntsville Stars fell to the Mobile BayBears by a score of 13-8 on Thursday night. The 13 runs and the 18 hits the Stars pitchers gave up were both season highs. Huntsville starting pitcher Kyle Heckathorn fell to 2-8 on the season after giving up five runs on 10 hits through five innings. On offense, first baseman Hunter Morris lead the way for Huntsville, going 3-for-4 with a solo homerun, two RBI and three runs scored. Both right fielder Kentrail Davis and shortstop Hainley Statia had three hits as well.

Game four of a five-game series will begin on Friday as the Stars will send RHP Hiram Burgos (2-1, 2.42 ERA) to the mound to square off against BayBears RHP Derek Eitel (6-5, 4.37 ERA). First pitch is at 6:43 PM.
