Shooting on Highway 72 East in Huntsville

A shooting just after midnight occurred in the 400 block of Highway 72 east.

The victim was driving with his girlfriend to meet a friend.

When they arrived, the victim and the friend started arguing.

During the argument, the offender produced a handgun and shot the victim.

The victim’s girlfriend drove him to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.

He is currently in critical condition.
