Purse-Snatcher Strikes In Five Points

Huntsville Police are investigating a purse snatching that happened Thursday morning in Five Points.

Police say an elderly woman was leaving Star Market, using a walker.  A man was waiting outside the store, ready to strike.  He was wearing a suit and was clean-cut, according to witnesses.

Police say the man shoved the woman down, stole her purse and jumped in a getaway car that was waiting.  The woman also lost her prescription, which was inside her purse.

Police are talking with witnesses to try to get a description of the man and the car.  They say a similar incident also happened in the last week.
