South Defeats The North In The Southern League All Star Game

There were supposed to be five representatives from the Huntsville Stars for this year’s Southern League All-Star Game.

Tyler Thornburg got the nod for the Milwaukee Brewers and Evan Anundsen is on the Disabled List, so Hunter Morris, Scooter Gennett and Jesus Sanchez will have to carry the load for the North as they try to knock off the South team.

That wouldn’t be the case.

Morris goes 0-for-2, Gennett goes 0-for-4 and Sanchez gives up an earned run in 0.2 innings of work, as the South rises and beats the North 6-2.  The Stars return to the diamond Thursday to face Jackson.
