Community Health Initiative chairperson Jean Templeton says these yearly grants allow non-profits to continue serving the under-served in Madison County.
“We were the seed money for the Community Free Clinic, for the HEALS clinics at local schools, for the mental health program going on at the elementary schools and so many programs have had their start with our basic grants,” says Templeton. “And then they’ve gotten other support and then we of course continue to support them too so it’s just been a huge blessing to this community.”
