Jackson County Girl Dies After Incident At Water Park

A trip to a water park in Blount County ends in tragedy for a local family.

Sarah Golden died early Monday morning after nearly drowning Friday at Spring Valley Beach in Blountsville.  She was three years old. 

Golden was pulled from the water, and paramedics performed CPR on her soon afterward.  She was rushed to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.

Golden’s family lives in Jackson County.
