June Jam 30th Anniversary

This month marks the 30th Anniversary of the first June Jame put on by the country music group “Alabama”.  From 1982 to 1997, the group hosted the event each year in a field near Fort Payne High School.

Music artists from across the country would come to the Jam each year.  The event also brought in fans from around the world.   The money raised from the Jam benefited schools and other organizations.   In fact, money from the annual event is still be given to charities.
