Our news partners, The Huntsville Times, report two former Auburn University football players, Ed Christian and Ladarious Phillips, were killed. A third football player, Eric Mack, was shot but is expected to recover. Mack is a current player and is being treated at a local hospital.
We understand two other people, perhaps more, may have also been shot.
There may have been one or more shooters. It’s not clear if anyone is in custody yet. Sources say the gunmen were not affiliated with the Auburn football program.
