The Pickwick Belle visited Decatur last year, and now, it’s in the River City to stay.

Thursday, city leaders welcomed the crew of the authentic paddlewheel riverboat to its new home at Ingalls Harbor.  They christened the boat by popping open a bottle of champagne.

The Pickwick Belle has been based in Florence, but is now in Decatur permanently.

Cruises start on Saturday, June 9, going on Wheeler Lake and the Tennessee River.  You can also book the boat for private cruises.

The Pickwick Belle is offering a special Father’s Day cruise on Sunday, June 17 at 12:30 p.m.  It will be a two-hour cruise.

Note: We’re working to get information on how to make reservations – we’ll update WHNT.com with that information on Friday, June 8.
