Decatur Police have a man in custody after a car chase on Danville Road. They used a taser on him after he jumped out of his car and ran.

Police initially tried to pull over Ron Lashard Jones for a switched tag.  He looked like he was going to pull over, then hit the gas pedal.

When he did, he hit a driver pulling onto Danville Road near the mall.  That person is okay, though.

The chase ended near Wally World convenience store, where police say the man got of the car and ran.  They caught him and used a taser to bring him under control.

Police also say the man threw marijuana out of his car during the chase.  They found drugs along the road.
