Huntsville Police Make 11 Robbery Arrests; Clear 24 Cases

Huntsville Police announced Friday they have made 11 robbery arrests and cleared approximately 24 cases recently in an effort to curb the recent rise of crime in the city.

"There is improvement, arrests have been made, cases are being closed, and we are on duty," said Dr. Harry Hobbs, police spokesperson. "We owe a great debt, our city does, to our robbery task force. They are working very, very diligently."

Since May 22, the Robbery Task Force has arrested the following people:

  • Steven Durell Rice
  • Kristin Leigh Joiner
  • Uniqua Nicole Tatum
  • Denzel Lamont McClain
  • Demario Lenard Battle
  • Gregory Christopher Forbes
  • Devonte Lashun Bone
  • Lavonte Deyshaun Rice
  • Ronald Edward Allison II
  • Jose Luis Lopez
  • Vantella Lamont Malone

Two of the suspects, Forbes and Allison, were identified in 16 robberies.  However, they are being charged in five in exchange for cooperation in helping police solve other cases.
