County By County: Which Roads Will Be Improved?

Here is a list of roads in north Alabama that are set for improvements in Round 1 of the Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program, or ATRIP.  Governor Bentley's office released this list on Thursday, May 31.

Colbert County

  • Resurface Avalon Avenue between US-43 (Woodward Avenue) and SR-133 (Wilson Dam Road)
  • Resurface 2nd Street from Cox Boulevard to US-43

Cullman County

  • CR-222 Resurface from SR-69 to CR-109
  • CR-222 Resurface from CR-310 to CR-410
  • Resurface Commercial Street from SR-91 to CR-565
  • US-311 turn lanes and median crossover

DeKalb County

  • BR on CR-328 over Reedy Ck

Franklin County

  • CR-16 Full Depth Reclamation by Force Account from CR-88 to US
  • Resurface Jackson Avenue from Tuscaloosa Street to Cotaco
  • SR-9 at Vina Industrial Park Rd add turn lanes

Jackson County

  • Resurface CR-17 from SR-35 to SR-79

Lauderdale County

  • Bridge Rehab on CR-70 over Anderson Ck

Limestone County

  • BR on CR-71 (Mooresville Rd) over French's Mill Ck
  • Resurface Lucas Ferry Rd and Sanderfer Rd from SR-99 to US-31

Madison County

  • BR on CR-77 (Holmes Avenue) at Pinhook Ck
  • Resurface Old Madison Pike from Hughes Rd to Slaughter Rd

Marshall County

  • CR-240 Resurface from SR-69 to US-231
  • Resurfacing Albertville Industrial Park-Rose Rd. George Wallace Dr. & Railroad Ave.
  • Resurface N Main St from SR-69 to US-231
  • Intersection improvements to Mountainboro Rd @ US-431

Morgan County
