Governor Robert Bentley stopped in the Tennessee Valley for the second time in two weeks to announce more jobs coming to Morgan County.

The Daikin chemical plant in Decatur announced five new expansions to their plant that will add 50 new jobs.

Daikin has been in the area since the early nineties and has created more than 350 jobs in that time.

The expansions will include a new plant where they will create a polymer used in auto and aircraft manufacturing. The Daikin plant will also start creating a chemical used in the lithium batteries used to charge electric cars.
