For the second time in three years, the Mars Hill baseball team wins a state championship.

All the Panthers needed to do was win one of two games.  They could not clinch during the morning contest, falling to Leroy 6-3.

In the rubber match, tournament MVP Thomas Burrows gave up just one run and five hits. He also hit what would be the game-winning RBI, helping Mars Hill to a 7-1 victory.

As for other Tennessee Valley scores, Guntersville took down Beauregard in game one of the 4A finals, 9-8.  In 1A, Shoals Christian fell to St. Luke's in game one, 3-2.
