Salmon Library To Host Baseball Viewing Party

Salmon Library on the campus of the University of Alabama in Huntsville has announced it will host a viewing party on Thursday, May 17, at 3:30 p.m. CT as the UAH baseball team competes at the NCAA South Regional against Lynn in Tampa, Fla.

The event is free and open to the public. The viewing party will be held in the Library Study Area/Coffee Shop in Salmon Library.

The Chargers enter the tournament as the No. 6 seed while the Lynn Fighting Knights open as the No. 3 seed. UAH and Lynn did meet earlier this season in February, when the Fighting Knights swept a four-game series over the Chargers in Boca Raton, Fla.

The regional, scheduled for May 17-21, will be hosted by top-seeded and No. 1-ranked Tampa at the University of Tampa Baseball Field in Tampa, Fla. The Chargers were awarded their fifth-ever berth into the NCAA Division II Baseball Tournament, and carry a record of 6-8 all-time in the tournament.
