Several Boys In Contention For State Golf Titles

The first round of the AHSAA State Golf Championships teed off Monday at the RTJ Golf Trail at Grand National.

The Fort Payne team has a two-stroke lead over Briarwood Christian.  Cullman and Russellville are with 30 strokes.  To see the 5A individual and team leaderboards, click here.

Guntersville is in contention for the both the Class 4A individual and team titles.  Wildcats' Reagan Harrell carded an even 72 and has a two-stroke lead over fellow Wildcat Trevor Conner.  As a team, Guntersville is two shots behind Oneonta and UMS Wright.  To see the 4A leaderboards, click here.

In 3A, three different players posted red figures.  The leader is Randolph's Garrett Moores, who went four-under and leads by two.  Elkmont's Hayden Huseth and Catholic's Zack Jones are also in contention.  To see those leaderboards, click here.
