The threat of fire is one of the biggest concerns for officials at the Limestone County Jail, and they are going on the offense to prepare for it.

Officials invited our WHNT News 19 cameras inside the jail for an exclusive look at the unique fire drill, something that can be challenging when dealing with over 200 inmates who must remain secured.

The drill included firefighters and moving inmates to outdoor secured areas. At any one time there are between 250-275 inmates housed at the facility.

WHNT News 19 has learned there is a plan in place if all the inmates would have to be moved from the site, but the details are being kept secret due to security concerns.
