The Florence Police Department's bomb squad dismantled a suspicious backpack left at Wilson Park.  Investigators say the backpack did not contain any explosive material.

Inside the bag, bomb technicians found electronics and products like shampoo and Vaseline.

Someone called police around 2 p.m. to report the item.  Police brought in the bomb squad, and a special robot, to remove the backpack.

The bomb squad was at the park for nearly two hours.  Wilson Park had to be evacuated, but is open again.
