Decatur Police Arrest Man Wanted in Shooting Investigation

Decatur Police have arrested a man wanted for attempted murder. Quincy Jamar Wilkerson is now in custody.

Wilkerson was wanted for a shooting that happened April 29 in the 300 block of 6th Avenue NW.

Police say Wilkerson got in an argument with 33-year-old Deon Wuantez Lampkin and shot him several times.

Police say Lampkin told them Wilkerson shot him.  The two had been in an argument prior to the shooting.

Police considered Wilkerson to be armed and dangerous.
