Tuscaloosa hosted a memorial service on April 27th, 2012 to honor the local victims of the EF-4 tornado that passed through one year earlier.

At 5:13, the time the storm first hit Tuscaloosa, the ceremony paused to remember those lost, ringing a bell one time for each victim.

City officials presented the families of victims with a token from the city.

Governor Robert Bentley spoke along with local leaders.

Over a thousand people attended the ceremony.
