A road project that has been under construction for more than 2 years is now complete.  Today, the Alabama Department of Transportation will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the new completion of the new overpasses at Max Luther Drive and Sparkman Drive.

Highway Director John Cooper, State Representative Mac McCutcheon, Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle, and Madison County Commission Chairman Mike Gillespie will attend the event.

The $17 million dollar project took 31 months to complete, which is five months ahead of schedule.  The overpasses will open in time for Tuesday morning traffic.
