DeKalb County Deputy Attacked in Traffic Stop

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who got into a scuffle with a deputy Saturday night.   It happened on County Road 814 near Ider.

Chief Deputy Michael Edmondson says the deputy pulled a car over and the driver got out and started a scuffle with the deputy and tried to get his gun.   The man then ran into the woods.

The deputy has not been identified but was not hurt.   Other deputies are searching for the man.
