Broncos Close Deal With Manning
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – With all eyes on another Super Bowl title, Peyton Manning was introduced as the newest member of the Denver Broncos Tuesday.
“I am thrilled to be here,” Manning told reporters at team headquarters in Dove Valley. “This is truly a special football environment and I’m glad to be a part of it.”
KDVR reports that in selecting Denver, Manning, who turns 36 on Saturday, passed on overtures from several other teams, most notably the Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers.
He called Broncos executive vice president John Elway on Monday to inform him of his decision.
